Look at my tap… it could save you £25,000

That tap is a beauty... no doubt

Those taps are some of the finest a stringent budget can buy. Sure, we could marvel at the craftsmanship of them, but that’s not why I’m showing them to you. The reason I’m bringing them to your attention is because we’re teaming up with Tapwater.org.

The idea is that we put the below badge in our shop window, then if you fancy filling up your water bottle, we’ll happily do it for you without grumbling or ruing a lost £1.20 on our own bottled water!

Cute logo don't you think?

The idea behind the organisation is that as a country we’re too dependent on bottled mineral water. This is bad news for taps. Apparently over a lifetime, we’ll each spend £25,000 on bottled water. If we all just drunk from the tap, by the time we reach 89, we’d have enough for a deposit on a house.

Who said getting old couldn’t be fun?

So, if you’re walking past The Deli Teahouse this summer, in a rush, empty bottle in hand and slightly parched, make sure you drop in and ask us for a refill… though, we can’t promise we won’t try to upsell a cup of tea first!
